Dr. Mechelle Greenspan, L.Ac. (she/her)
Dr. Mechelle Greenspan is the founder of Sacred Fortune. Mechelle holds a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Eastern Medicine (DAOM) with a specialty in Integrative Reproductive Health from Yo San University. She is Nationally Board Certified (Dipl.OM), a fellow of the Acupuncture and TCM Board of Reproductive Medicine (ABORM) and on the Akin team offering collaborative fertility, prenatal and postpartum care. Additionally, she has certifications in birth support, pelvic health therapy, Mercier Therapy, trauma healing, cosmetic acupuncture, Feng Shui and has attended advanced seminars in Beijing, China. Passionate about women’s birth rights, she completed her doctoral dissertation titled 'Acupuncture as a Means to Promote Full Term Vaginal Delivery'.
Mechelle sees each patient as an individual and is inspired to see them live their most fulfilled life whether it is by creating a project, building a family or balancing the energetics of their home. As a young girl growing up in the country, Mechelle witnessed first hand the cycles of life while watching the garden and farm animals grow. She developed an affinity for the beauty of life and a strong desire to help others. This compassion led her to begin her holistic health practice and study massage therapy. During a massage therapy course she was introduced to Chinese medicine meridian theory and Taoist practices. Mechelle learned how the meridians covered the whole body and how each organ system related to one of the five elements. The Taoist tradition of following the seasons to attune mind, body and spirit really resonated with her. This kinship ignited a desire to broaden her knowledge and study Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture and Feng Shui.
She has supported patients in meeting their unique health goals in Silverlake, Echo Park and surrounding Los Angeles neighborhoods since 2001. She loves enjoying quality time with family, friends and her two dogs, exploring the world, experiencing good food, music, art and culture.
